This event is organized in conjunction with the nomination exhibition Three Rooms currently on view at Chronus Art Center. It will consist of a 45 minutes artist talk by the nominee WANG NEWONE, followed by 15 minutes Q&A session. The talk intends to unravel the hidden stories of WANG NEWONE's work A BETTER NOW and the delicate relationship between visualization and sound production. The talk will further examine how futuristic image style and the uncanny aesthetics have been created and how the artist re-thinks the ontological existence of humanity within both the real and online worlds, as well as the artist's reflection on the anthropocentric worldview.

A Better Now had its earlier incarnation in a web-based online project for the “3hd Festival” in Berlin. In collaboration with the music composer Snackuo and using digital techniques such as 3D modelling, the artist creates impressions of a post-apocalyptical world, an uncanny future begotten by the digital present.
